RPiPLC, a Raspberry Pi(1) based PLC

Picture of the RPiPLC model 24D1

RPiPLC is a Raspberry Pi(1) based open-source Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) designed especially for educational and research purposes in context of my master thesis. It is in particular well suited to control the educational systems, especially the modular production systems (MPS(2) Stations) produced by Festo Didactic SE. The device is also compatible with usual industrial components including 2-wire sensors. It has 16 digital current sinking type 3 inputs and 16 digital current sourcing outputs. As a lot of protective functions were integrated the PLC is tolerant against all common handling errors.

Further information can be found in my master thesis "HW-SW-Codesign of a compact PLC with special consideration of real-time performance".
